A Heart Wide Open Christmas Recap for Newcomers to our Advent Journey

Hello friends! We’re only six days into our Advent Invitation and the feedback I’m getting from y’all is literally blessing my socks off!

One Jesus loving girlfriend re-imagined her entire Christmas tree this year, and graciously attributed the idea to our Heart Wide Open Christmas journey! Check this out. She used special ornaments given to her over the years from her mother, white lights, ribbon garland, and tons of pictures from Christmas past, including those loved ones still with her, and those who’ve gone ahead.  She not only reports having a holy day of decorating, but the tree is a joy for family and friends to “browse” around and experience the blessed memories depicted among it’s branches all over again.

Now, that’s a great idea, yes?! Totally beats a box of photos stuck in a closet! (Hmmm…I don’t know anyone who would be that disorganized…)

So, yes, my inbox tells me we’re off to a great start! However, your happy hostess is also hearing from women who are trying to catch up with us and they’re a wee bit lost. Let me be honest, this blog hopping has been a live and learn experience for me, too! To get us all on the same page, I’m going to recap where we’ve been and where we’re going. Our next five days, Dec. 1st – 5th were spent at author friend’s, Tricia Goyer. Tricia wrote some lovely words to go with my devo thoughts, and action prompts. I hope you’ll consider going back and catching up. You won’t regret it! Right now, we’re at the home of  The Heart Mom, Dr. Joneal Kirby!  We’ll be here for five days, Dec.6th- 10th.

 

 Afterwards, we’ll hop over to author friend Marybeth Whalen’s for Dec. 11th- 15th.

 

 From Marybeth’s we’ll scoot over to author buddy Mary Synder’s to spend Dec. 16th – 20th.

 

And lastly, we’ll come right back here to spend the last week of Advent at my place, Dec. 21st – 25th!
