Not Without Purpose by Phil Sims

Phil Sims, a Vietnam veteran, served in the US Navy for seven years, five of them aboard the USS Midway CVA41. He’s a Boy Scout scoutmaster, a member of the Gideons International, and the author of Not Without Purpose. He and his wife, Alma, reside in West Monroe, Louisiana. They have three grown children and six grandchildren.

Not Without Purpose is set at the end of the conflict in Vietnam and twenty-eight year old Eric Sanderson has just returned home. The young marine is disillusioned, depressed, and haunted by what he’s experienced.

In the space of a few days, circumstances will force him to rethink any remaining values he may have.  Meanwhile, a  teen’s obedience to God will be tested, and a small North Carolina mountain town will be brought to its knees in prayer. Sometimes things go very wrong, but never without God’s permission and never without purpose.

Phil Sims has written a moving story of the power of a person’s choice to offer others an opportunity to experience the redemptive grace of Christ. If you like history, mystery, and faith, do check out Not Without Purpose.

I’m not only pleased to congratulate Phil on the release of his debut novel, I’m honored to take this opportunity to thank him for his service to our country. Check it out at Amazon and get your copy today.

Hugs,
Shellie
