Southern Belleview
Hey y’all! Big news. I’m delighted to announce that I’m blogging over at Southern Belleview, another delightful southern porch that is down “write” fun. Southern Belleview is the delightful brain child of four fantastic authors. Left to right, Rachel Hauck, Beth Webb Hart, Yours Truly, MaryBeth Whalen and Lisa Wingate.
Each day, one of these wise and entertaining authors blogs from her corner of the writing world. And get this, apparently they decided they were a tad short in the zany category because they have recently invited yours truly to join ‘em in their collective endeavors to share their faith, food, and fiction (and nonfiction now that I’ve arrived!)
Just call me Girl Friday! I’ll be wrapping up the week there with my own thoughts. You can read my first post here.
So, come on over, and get to know everyone. I’ll be watching for you– and don’t forget to follow us so you’ll get Southern Belleview in your mailbox!
Hugs,
Shellie

Shellie,
I bought your book “Suck your Stomach in and Put Some Color On” at a shop on St. Simons Island, GA, last weekend, and have thoroughly enjoyed it! Your mama stories invoked wonderful memories of my mama and grandma (both now living in Heaven). Here’s a bit of “mama wisdom” for you: my mama and aunt were complaining about their husbands one day. Grandma was listening while plying her crochet hook at the speed of light and occasionally glancing at one or the other daughter. When her girls ran out of steam and turned to her for motherly advice, grandma stopping in mid-crochet long enough to pronounce “a horse is only as good as its rider”.
God Bless!!
Oh, Earline, I do so appreciate these words. They’re the kind that fuel an author’s soul. And that story– loved it!
Vanity Fair is stylish and well written, and they push the envelope in celebrity reporting, giving readers if not a balanced
representation, then at least an interesting angle to a
well known personality. Talking of the walking dead, congratulations to Hugh Hefner, who
is getting married at age 84 to 24-year-old beauty Crystal Harris.
The singer will not be charged for her public intoxication, but her boyfriend was charged a $30,000 bail fee to release himself after he was tested positive for driving under
the influence.
